Top ten reasons to organize your scrap/stamp room!

10. Your neighbor stopped in to visit and thought you were having an "indoor yard sale".
9. Your mother-in-law fell into a panic because she thought you were packing to leave town and taking her "baby" away!
8. You started to clean and discovered you actually own 27 bottles of pink paint.
7. Your "craft room" is slowly becoming known as the "craft house".
6. Your work area has been reduced to a 12" x 12" space!
5. You literally climb up stairs made of supplies when you enter the room.
4. Extreme Makeover producers told you there was " just nothing they could do to help"!
3. You've had to install a sign on the door stating "Eye Protection and Hard Hat required".
2. The Fire Marshall threatened to comdemn the place if you don't install a fire escape and sprinkler system!

...and the number one reason...

1. The dogs chased each other in there and you haven't found either in three days,...you hear them... but, you can't find them.

All this is so sad.....but true! Okay, back to working on my room. Will it ever end? I'll let you know if I find the dogs!

How I love this face...

I'm still knee deep in re-organizing my scrap/stamp room. Whoever knew that it would be this much work? I'm still sorting and purging and moving stuff from one corner to the other in an attempt to make some sense of the chaos! Still deciding which way is best to store this, and which way is best to store that! But I'm excited about how it might look in the end. My hubby however says everyday..."how much longer is this going to take?, I'm tired of walking through a path!!" I however am enjoying the smell of all that paper I'm sorting, and the ribbons and buttons....such glorious colors...only us papercrafters could get "high" on the smell of paper and the rainbow of colors! I bought myself a label maker from ebay to start labeling all my paper and drawers etc. Can't wait for that to get here! I find great satisfaction in everything being in it's place eventually! (for the moment anyway until I start creating!) But enough of that. How about a scrapbook layout to brighten your day? These pictures were taken while Wyatt and I and Jenny were at the Wichita zoo on a boat ride. I just love the intense expression on his face. The papers are from Close To My Heart. Hope you all had a nice weekend...supposed to be a beautiful week..nice and warm I believe! Have a great day.

Just dropped in to say Hi!

I haven't had alot of time to update my blog lately
as I'm knee deep in re-organizing my scrapbook/stamp room. It really is more work then I was planning on when I started. Now that I'm into it, I don't want to stop until I get it done. But I'm working around daily life and work. My hubby is tired of trying to wade through boxes of "junk" as he calls it...all my scraping treasures!

So, because I haven't been creating lately, I'll have to give you a glimpse of something I've done in the past. This is a 9X9 accordion album I finished last fall. I'll just post a couple of pictures. Don't want you to have creative withdrawl!!! Hopefully, I'll get back on track in a week or so once everything is arranged the way I want it and organized into a creatively blissful area ( ok, I can dream....my scrapbook room is usually a creatively cluttered mess! The pictures are of course of my girls and son-in-law and grand kids. The album and papers/embellishments are from Close To My Heart.

Hope you all had a wonderful Valentine's Day, with lots of flowers and candy????

Well, back to work. Have just a few more minutes before I have to head off to bed for work tomorrow, so better get done what I can.

Purging my scrapbook room - stuff for sale!

I'm in the middle of purging my scrapbook room in order to re-organize and am needing to get rid of some stuff. Rather then putting the heavier stuff on ebay with horrible shipping costs, I'm offering it up on my blogsite first. This will be a first come first served basis. So if you are interested in the stuff I'm putting up, quickly let me know! I'm re-doing my paper storage system so have the following paper racks to sell. The first picture is of acrylic stackable 12X12 paper racks. I have 40 of these. I'd like to sell all of them to one buyer, but if you don't need that many, we can divide them up. I'd like to have $2.00 each or $50 for all of them. That's saving $30 if you take them all.

These are very sturdy and stack nicely. You can put them on a bookshelf, or counter top, or most anywhere else that you have a flat space.

As you see, I have them stacked quite high!

I also have 6 wire paper racks for 12X12 papers. These also are stackable. They can be set on the floor or countertop, table, or wherever. They display your papers very nicely. Again, I would like to sell them all to one person. $50 for the whole lot
If your'e interested in these, let me know quickly! Thanks! Phone is 620-330-0946 or email me at nanasmemoriesctmh@yahoo.com

EDIT: The acrylic paper stacks are gone. The wire racks are still available

A few more Valentines

I had several valentines to finish this year for sisters, mom, and daughters, so I kept the design quick and easy. The valentine on the left is "More To Adore" paper from CTMH, the rest is Basic Grey's "Two Scoops" patterned paper. I used CTMH "Love Quotes" and Papertrey Ink "Heart Prints" stamps.

It's easiest as I've said before, to keep the design similar (or in this case the same) when you have several of the same type card to make. Assembly line fashion is great!

You can click on the images to enlarge them.

And of course, the insides need to be finished also. Hope you enjoyed this peek at my valentines for this year.

Have a wonderful Day!

Another Papertrey challenge

This is another entry I made for the Papertrey Ink contests that are going on. I didn't have much time to work on this as the contest is about to end...eeek! So it was a quicky! All products are from Paper trey ink. This card was made from a sketch that Nicole posted.

A couple of layouts...and some stamps

I haven't had much time to scrapbook lately, but thought I'd share a couple of layouts I finished last year (that's only a couple of months ago people!). Of course the pictures themselves are a couple of years old as I, like most every scrapbooker I know, am always behind in scrapping...but I've learned to be okay with that! My camera wasn't the best when I took these pics, but you can get the general idea. I have such fun scrapbooking my grandkiddies. Of course whenever they actually get their albums for themselves, they'll need a U-Haul to crate them out of my house!

I realize it's a little chilly for these types of pics, but maybe I'm wishful thinking about the coming
spring and summer. I used some Scenic Route paper for these pages. The colors were perfect for the colors in Wyatt's swim trunks. Ahh..remember slip & slides...such fun.

My beautiful ballerina Carleigh....she's such a ham when it comes to the camera! I love having one little fu-fu girl in my bunch of boys! Cardstock and patterned paper from CTMH.

And...just a note..

I have 2 extra of the Key To My Heart stamp sets (stamps only) that are new, never used from CTMH's January promotion if anyone is interested in them. Drop me an email or comment on this post below.

Papertrey tote contest

Nicole over at Papertrey Ink is hosting a challenge to win a cute little tote bag. In order to enter the contest you have to make a tote or bag of some kind. This is what I am entering...a purse/tote I made last year from CTMH's "Let's Get Together" patterned paper and various ribbons. I simply cut my chipboard, covered it in paper, punched the holes and connected it all toether by tying on LOTS of ribbon. My friend Becky gave me the pattern. The handles came from Hobby Lobby. After I covered the chipboard with paper, I laminated the pieces to make them water resistant! Cute, fun, somewhat time consuming to punch the holes and tie the ribbon, but I like it! Sorry the picture isn't so good, but glorius sunshine is shinning in my windows! Love it!
